About Me

Hi!

Welcome to the Gretsch Community!  thanks for visiting, and I hope that you will consider joining us if you havent already.  Also, if you want the inside scoop about our company visit GearGoggle Guitar Community

OK, so a little about me.  I have been playing guitar for 13 or 14 years and currently enjoy building custom guitars (no pic's yet, sorry), doing modifications on guitars like electronics upgrades etc.  & of course building gear related websites... in my spare time.

I currently work in Marketing for a great outdoor furniture company called PolyWood here in Northern Indiana.  Before that I ran a small landscape and lawn care company and also worked as a investment rep. for a while.

Hi,I have a Tennessean that best i can tell by the serial # 45435 that it was mfg. late 1961.It has the 0 fret painted F Holes (no white trim) a standby switch and chrome metal knobs and is not signed by Chet on the pick guard. My research tells me that 1961 models didn't have some of these features and that they came out on the 1962 models.Mine has them all but Chet's Sig. on the guard. My question is did they produce some with these features in late 1961 before the change and if so,would that make it worth more?Does anyone know? Thanks,George Owen

Thanks for the note, Tim. I'm glad you like the designs.

Bodkat is also a Hoosier, there's a least three of us here

Well done, Tim. +1 on the site looking great.
I, too, have taken on some guitar builds (as well as pedal builds) and I am ALWAYS tinkering with guitar electronics. You, sir, are in good company.

Good luck Tim and I hope the site is a great success it certainly looks great.
Put a link on my signature and it doesn't appear to work now it either isn't meant to or it needs fixing.

Best,

Gerry
